Rick Riordan books overview

Hello and welcome to Reading with Rajveer!

Today we are doing an overview. I have started (and nearly finished) reading a set of series written by Rick Riordan. They are about myths from three ancient civilisations - Viking, Greco-Roman (Ancient Greek and Romans had the same gods, just under different names.), and Ancient Egyptian. He has written about these but modern day, so basically (Greco-Roman) modern day demigods (Viking) Demigods, Valkyries and Einherjar  (Ancient Egyptian) magicians. He has written six series - one Greek, two Greco-Roman, one Norse (Viking), one Ancient Egyptian and one Greco-Egyptian.

The series are (Greek and Greco-Roman) Percy Jackson, Heroes of Olympus and Trials of Apollo, (Norse) Magnus Chase, (Ancient Egyptian) Kane chronicles and (Greco-Egyptian) Demigods and Magicians.

I like these books because they're brilliant! These books are perfect for children who love ancient mythology but are too young to be able to read the actual myths! Rick Riordan's books are awesome and infested with jokes and funny lines. One of the more memorable funny lines is "Percy was controlling the water into a a giant fist to stop some of the larger waves crashing into the boat so it looked like the sea was punching itself in the face 😂".

Whelp, I guess that's it for now.

Diary of a Wimpy Kid:The ugly truth

Hello and welcome to Reading With Rajveer!

Today our topic is one of the wimpy kid books called the ugly truth. In this book, Greg starts writing two and a half weeks after he broke up with his best friend Rowley. Afterward, he says that he really needs to get some more friends now that he's broken up with Rowley and I really understand even though I never have been in the same position.

I think this book is quite good especially because he brings unluckiness wherever he goes and this makes for a very funny read. Also, he says that his only three options left for new friends are the 2 kind-of-nice kids Christopher Brownfield and Tyson Sanders and the really disgusting kid Fregley.

Bye and have a nice day!!!

Come back soon!

My wimpy kid likings

Hello and welcome to Reading with Rajveer!

So, recently I have got interested in the book series Diary of a Wimpy kid where this kid called Greg writes about his life.

He has 2 brothers.one is older than him and called Rodrick and Rodrick is a complete BAD boy.
The other one is younger than Greg and called Manny, who is only 3 years old. Most of the time he writes about complains he has in life, but sometimes he talks about the good stuff, like friendship in his life,

Also in this series, here is something Greg always says in the Begining of his books ''firstly, this is not a diary, this is a journal.
I only agreed on this because when I'm all rich and famous, people would like to know what happened to me when I was young.''.

bye and have a nice day......( Forever!).

39 storey treehouse review

Hello and welcome to Reading with Rajveer!

Today's review is on another treehouse storybook and it is called The 39 Storey treehouse. You must be wondering when will my treehouse storybook reviews will stop. Well, the answer is when I have reviewed the whole series.

Now, as you might know already, the series I am reviewing is eight books long and I am reviewing the 3rd one. In this book, Terry asks an un-inventor to un-invent the mad book writing machine that took over their treehouse but the un-inventor ends up un-inventing the whole universe! The crazy un-inventor's name is Proffeser Stupido!

Now it's time for the series:

  • The 13 storey treehouse
  • The 26 storey treehouse
  • The 39 storey treehouse
  • The 52 storey treehouse
  • The 65 storey treehouse
  • The 78 storey treehouse
  • The 91 storey treehouse
  • The 104 storey treehouse
Now it's time for the TEASER of this post.

In the 52 storey treehouse, Andy and Terry find Mr. Big Nose, their publisher gone missing. He was actually captured by vegetables and Andy and Terry get captured too!

26 story treehouse review

Hello and welcome to Reading With Rajveer!

Today I will review another treehouse storybook called the 21 Storey Treehouse.

From my previous review, The 13 Storey Treehouse, you might recognize the ending. Well, that's actually a coincidence because this book is in the same series (group of at least 3 books). The name of the series is The Treehouse Storybooks

The book starts by Andy telling you the story of how Andy and Terry met and then it extends into pirates coming to take over their tree house. Somehow, the poem 10 Unlucky pirates saves them. Now, if you want my opinion, I personally think that is quite silly
( if you know what I mean by silly( funny!)).

It is time for me to write down the series this hilarious book is in:

  • The 13 Storey Treehouse
  • The 26 Storey Treehouse
  • The 39 Storey Treehouse
  • The 52 Storey Treehouse
  • The 65 Storey Treehouse
  • The 78 Storey Treehouse
  • The 91 Storey Treehouse
  • The 104 Storey Treehouse
So now it's time to give the TEASER of this post!

In the 78 storey treehouse, Andy saw some spy cows. They were spying for Andy and Terry's ideas for Andy and Terry's movie and they turned it into their own moo-vie. Extremely hilarious.

So anyways, this is the end of our post for today.
Hope you have a nice time!

13 story tree house review

Hello and welcome to Reading With Rajveer!

Today, I will review a book written by Andy Griffiths and illustrated by Terry Denton. The title of this book is The 13 Story Treehouse.

This book actually features Andy Griffiths and Terry Denton! That is one of the things that makes it really funny.
The other things might be:

  • fun,laughter and adventure
  • leveled treehouse
  • Terry kissing a ugly sea monster

YOU JUST NEED TO READ THIS BOOK!
IF YOU DON'T, YOU'LL BE SORRY!

These funny chaptered books I REALLY RECOMMEND!

Remember to daily view my blog because I'm going to review the whole series!

Here is the whole series;

  1. 13 storey treehouse
  2. 26 storey treehouse
  3. 39 storey treehouse
  4. 52 storey treehouse
  5. 65 storey treehouse
  6. 78 storey treehouse
  7. 91 storey treehouse
  8. 104 storey treehouse

If you forget the books in the series don't worry because I'll write it down in each review along with a teaser for one of the books. Here is the teaser of this review:

In the 91 storey treehouse, Andy and Terry's brains get drained by the evil brain-draining fortune teller Madam Know-It-All. Don't ask her any questions unless you want your brain drained! Also, Terry wacks Andy with his mallet 3 times! SO funny!

David Walliams book

Hello and welcome to Reading with Rajveer!

Today, I will review a book written by David Williams called  "There's A Snake In My School!". He made it very funny because everyone was bringing in a animal to school but a little girl brought in a snake!  Image result for david williams book "there's a snake in my school!"

Here is a picture of the front cover of the book.  Does it give you an idea of what the book is about?

So... readers, I really liked this book because it is so funny and I really recommend it for beginners in reading and children who like amusement!

Introduction and First Review

Hello and welcome to Reading With Rajveer!

My aims are to:

  • Inspire readers to read books
  • Suggest certain books that I, as a lover of books myself have read
  • Throughout my blog posts, I will write some quotes of some writers

Roald Dahl is one of my favourite writers and so, in this post, I will review his autobiography, Going Solo.

Going Solo is about Roald Dahl's life as a fighter pilot.
He crashed down once but he shot a few planes down, including a Ju 88. He was not a fighter pilot for the whole book, in the beginning he killed one German soldier on the road with a machine gun and also, he was a member of the Shell company.

I liked that he helped the allies by killing a German soldier during World War 2.
I also liked the thing that I got to know some things about Roald Dahl that I didn't know before and also he was so brave.

Roald Dahl said ''A life is made up of a great                        number of  small incidents and a small                                  number of great incidents''
