Hello and welcome to Reading with Rajveer!
Today we are doing an overview. I have started (and nearly finished) reading a set of series written by Rick Riordan. They are about myths from three ancient civilisations - Viking, Greco-Roman (Ancient Greek and Romans had the same gods, just under different names.), and Ancient Egyptian. He has written about these but modern day, so basically (Greco-Roman) modern day demigods (Viking) Demigods, Valkyries and Einherjar (Ancient Egyptian) magicians. He has written six series - one Greek, two Greco-Roman, one Norse (Viking), one Ancient Egyptian and one Greco-Egyptian.
The series are (Greek and Greco-Roman) Percy Jackson, Heroes of Olympus and Trials of Apollo, (Norse) Magnus Chase, (Ancient Egyptian) Kane chronicles and (Greco-Egyptian) Demigods and Magicians.
I like these books because they're brilliant! These books are perfect for children who love ancient mythology but are too young to be able to read the actual myths! Rick Riordan's books are awesome and infested with jokes and funny lines. One of the more memorable funny lines is "Percy was controlling the water into a a giant fist to stop some of the larger waves crashing into the boat so it looked like the sea was punching itself in the face 😂".
Whelp, I guess that's it for now.
